Since its onset in July, Good News Sundays Open Mic has been TREMENDOUS! Awesome poets like Kim B Miller, Kanikki J and Sistah Joy have blessed the stage. In addition, we recognized DeAndrea Johnson aka Dee Scribes as our Good News Ambassador for her contribution to the community. As the mother of a teenager transitioning from adolescence into adulthood, this single mother recognized that many youth and young adults do not have the functional skills to make this transition. In her efforts to become a solution to an ongoing problem, she is developing a curriculum to be used as a 5-week course on adulting. Classes start in October!
Join us this 4th Sunday September 24th. The donation request is only $5 (though there’s absolutely no objection if you feel inspired to give more:-). To buy tickets or sign up for the open mic, Contact Us Today or simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
